Another one bites the dust. As a Steelers’ fan this one’s rough. Ryan Shazier was the internet’s most recent ‘main character’ after his wife, Michelle posted screenshots of his alleged infidelity. If you’re not familiar with Shazier, he was on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ roster from 2014-2019.
In December of 2017, Shazier was severely injured while making a head-on tackle against the Bengals. The hit left him unable to move his legs. It was determined that he suffered a spinal contusion and surgery would be needed to stabilize the spine. He has since begun walking, and living a normal life. Shazier officially retired from the NFL in 2020.
He and Michelle have been married since 2019, and she was a massive part of his entire recovery process.
