I can’t imagine what I’d do if I was a parent and got a phone call from two men on the other side of the phone demanding a ransom in exchange for my unharmed son. That’s a terrifying proposition, and it was a very real phone call for the mother of 19-year-old Emmanuel Franklin on January 22 in Sumter, South Carolina.
