I see some bizarre, and, yes, dumb shit on the internet. That’s par for the course these days. But when it was announced in May that surgery was successfully performed on a grape, I was already struggling to wrap my head around the story. Or at least we assume the grape felt the operation was a smashing success, it has yet to make an official statement! I digress, little did I know that the surgery would end up becoming the fixation of so many people who have since created a series of ‘surgery on grape’ themed Tweets and memes to celebrate the strange occasion.
The backstory goes that the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Australia used a grape to showcase the delicate and efficient surgical capabilities of their medical robots. And now, I reluctantly give you today’s hot topic, “they did surgery on a grape” memes.
