Granted, it’s been a while since I’ve taken a dip in the online dating pool, but man, it just keeps on getting better and better. Not to date myself here, but when I was dipping my toes in the water, dating apps weren’t a thing, so we were restricted to LavaLife, eHarmony and Plenty of Fish. Even then, you’d get nods and winks and sometimes they wouldn’t really amount to anything, but other times, you found someone cool to talk with.
Now, with all the left/right swiping and proximity detection that dating apps offer, it’s easier to find a date, a hookup or a lifelong romance. You spend your days, nights (and let’s be honest, your toilet breaks… don’t lie, there’s research that people are swiping the most on the crapper some days) swiping and then you find the one that’s a sure thing and you think it’s gonna go somewhere.
Then you get ‘breadcrumbed.’ So what the fuck is that?
