It’s a common misconception that frosting a pint glass will improve a beer. While some people may prefer the cooler drink a frosted glass provides, craft beer experts consider the practice an absolute sin.
Richard Easterby of Craft Conundrum in Charleston, South Carolina, says the frost instantly zaps a brew’s carbonation and flavor.
“There is an epidemic going on out there,” he says. “People with frosted pint glasses — this does nothing for your beer.”
