      forget that…exactly HOW does a RARE steak cook itself inside a sandwich? I like medium rare steaks, but I'm at a loss here….

        Meat continues to cook even after you take it out of the pan. That's why professional chefs always take the meat out a little underdone and let it sit for several minutes. It helps the meat retain its juices and allows it to finish cooking 🙂

            yes even when it is rare because the hot steak, bacon and mushroom/onions get into that bread bowl, there is lettle escap for the heat s when it is assembled and wraped in the paper and foil the heat from the ingredients can continue to cook things for long enough to cook all the way through.
