It makes sense that if a director is attempting to showcase drugs in a scene, we as the audience hope that the effects of those drugs are portrayed accurately. For instance, if a character is smoking weed they should probably know how to properly roll a joint.
I’m in no way a film critic, but if I were I’d say that the accuracy of drug affects in addition to an actor’s portrayal can make or break a scene. We’ve collected scenes where this attention to detail totally paid off.
