taylor lead The Taylor Morris story: UPDATED

The story of Taylor Morris, the EOD sailor who had all four limbs amputated after an explosion in Afghanistan, has gone viral. I asked the Chivers to donate $30,000 for a down payment on Taylor’s dream cabin. But the Chivers had other ideas.

As of this morning, you’ve donated over $250,000 to Taylor, you built the entire cabin… and then some.

In 24 hours, you changed a man’s life for the better, forever. You’ve done good, be proud of yourselves today. Some related articles:

Im a Cedar Falls, IA native, and hearing all this good news for Taylor is so extraordinary. It amazes me that a regular guy from such a small town can get so much love and support from complete strangers. Im proud to be an Iowa Chivette and be amongst some of the greatest people on Earth! You've all helped to give this hero a better future, just like he fought to give us.

Nicole, I'm just some dude from New York state but Taylor is not a stranger to any of us. He is our son, our brother, our uncle, our friend, our neighbor…OUR soldier and for that, we love him and want to help. You are obviously cut from the same mold as all these other fantastic people who helped and that only strengthens my pride and respect. Thank you for that but dont be surprised at how GOOD people can be! I see it all the time. You ROCK Lady!

What a great community. I'm so thankful to be a part of it.

You all are a example of what humanity truly means. You not only offered up the $30,000 but the whole damn house. Life is hard enough then to have such a CF happen is devastating. Taylor, this is what we humans are capable of. From one who knows, don't let the bastards get you down.
