#2 Leslie Nielsen did a better job

    Unfortunately #8 didn't work…

The OJ simpsons mags are amazing to me. Because of the additional headlines on those magazines. Healthcare and Gays still problems in our culture 18 years later. A good helping of thee magazines could of used a smarter editor. The princess di one is just classless.

Others are fantastic, like the Ellgen issue or Art Speigelmen's cover (who is a fantastic author and artist in his own right)

#3 fucked up the Beatles… #16 is ugly, I don't understand what people see in her. #18 i wish that was me on that stool….

#9 – sorry chive, error in the facts. amanda bearse (marcy) from "married with children" was the first openly gay actor/actress on tv. she came out in 93 if i recall.

  • Nicnac

#9 1997! And here we are today, still deathly afraid of gay people. Shame on us.

    • indominableman

…or are we afraid of anyone in white loafers? Frankly, the caption was redundant – anyone wearing white loafers is obviously gay

    • Kodos

afraid, no… we just want them to STFU and go away

    • Lojack

      Oh, shut the fuck up.

  • skinger

#3 I will never forgive Yoko for breaking up the Beatles.

one that you forgot to add to this list was the US Bicentennial edition of Hustler in 1976. the cover image was a close up of a girl's crotch. she's wearing a Stars and Stripes bikini and there are some pubes peeking out the top of the bikini. Hustler was prevented from using the cover at the time.

the Black Crowes later used the image for the cover of their album Amorica.

1977 National Enquirer cover of Elvis in his casket? 1964 Life magazine cover of stills from the JFK Zapruder film? 1974 Mad magazine cover of a big middle finger? 1978 Hustler cover of a woman's legs protruding from a meat grinder? 1965 Life magazine cover of an unborn fetus? 1928 NY Daily News cover of a woman being executed in the electric chair? (okay that was a newspaper)

Hyperbole. The closest thing to "setting the world on fire" was the 2005 Danish Mohammed cartoons (another newspaper)

  • eh.

#16 As a Norm Macdonald fan… I guess Norm wasn't ready for prime time. Which i'm kind of glad, I'd hate for him to have been "overplayed".

  • Average Joe

    #18 Kinda creepy…

    • Erection Doctor

      you're just jealous

  • incorrect

#8 is incorrect. It was a damnation of facts and has proven out since. The artist changed his reason for the painting AFTER the Nazi/muslim/kenyan started putting people in jail or assassinating them for not agreeing with his Nazi tactics and socialist agenda.
