Most people’s days off involve a whole lot of Netflix, maybe some day drinking. But this heroic man from Florida uses the single day a week he has off to restore veteran’s tombstones.
Andrew Lumish, 46, is the owner of The Good Cemetarian, a professional cleaning service dedicated to restoring the grave markers of military vets. He operates the business when he’s not busy working his 6-day per week commercial job.
Many of the tombstones have been so neglected, it can take up to four months to properly restore them. Lumish says he’s cleaned about 300.
But he doesn’t stop there. Lumish also takes the time to research each warrior, and shares their stories alongside the photos of the repaired tombstones on his Facebook page.
