When three terrorists drove a van through a crowd of civilians on the London Bridge before hopping out and hacking away at civilians with large knives, this police officer ran towards the struggle. Now he’s being rewarded for his courage with a special gift from a WWE icon.
Despite being off-duty, outnumbered, and without so much as a taser or baton, PC Charlie Guenigault ran down the attackers and took them on. He was slashed in the head, leg, back, and stomach. A total of eight people were killed, but there surely would have been more casualties if Guenigault hadn’t been there to slow them down.
The 25-year-old hero was released from the hospital last Friday, and was surprised with a visit from 14-time WWE World Champion Triple H, who gave Guenigault an honorary WWE Championship belt.
