Imagine getting to school in the morning and finding a mural secretly painted by your favorite street artist. That’s exactly what happened to the elementary students at Bridge Farm Primary School in Bristol, England.
Everyone’s favorite elusive street artist appeared sometime in the night and painted this mural on the building that they had appropriately named after him. Several weeks ago, the school held a competition to rename houses (think the houses of Hogwarts) and the winners were Brunel, Blackbeard, Cabot, and Banksy. When the students returned from holiday, they were surprised with an original Banksy mural.
The mural depicts a scribbled figure of a child playing with a stick and hoop, but the hoop has been replaced with a giant flaming tire. Not necessarily the most inspirational motif you would expect to see on the side of a school, but we think it has to be in line with the students’ sense of humor.
