The 9 to 5 grind is rough, so anything that I can secretly do at work to kill time until I can ditch the desk and go do something fun, I’m all for. So today, I stumbled upon this “Create an Album’ thing on Reddit where you randomly select an album title, band name and album art and share the image. What you get is a record store’s worth of interesting, offbeat and downright weird as heck record covers.
Here’s how it works:
1) go to Wikipedia and click on Random Article. That’s your band name.
2) Go to Wikiquote and click on Random Article. Pick the third quote on the page and take the last 5-7 words from it.
3) Go to Flickr and click on Last 7 Days and pick the 5th image. That’s your album art.
Then mash them all together with your fancy photoshop (or MS Paint), and voila: you’ve got your first album ready to go. Now plan the release party.
