PETA, the ethically gray but pop-culture dominating animal protection group, tweeted out some advice on what to do if you encounter a dead opossum.
One might expect they advised not to approach the opossum as they are well known to fake injury before attacking, but in fact what they advocated was to open their pouch to check for babies to save.
People were not so inclined.
