A man in Corpus Christi Texas gave ATM customers the shock of their lives Thursday when they went to deposit checks, pick up cash, and generally all around not be told there was a man inside there ATM in any way.
Corpus Christi police said the unnamed man was a contractor who became stuck in the ATM room at the bank while changing the locks. He had left his phone in his vehicle and had no way to communicate his predicament.
When people approached the ATM he slipped notes through the slots.
“Please Help, I’m stuck in here, and I don’t have my phone. Please call my boss.”
Customers thought it was a prank, so the man remained inside for several hours longer.
A unfortunate situation, but some saw the lighter side.
And others were more suspicious of the whole event.
