It takes a certain kind of horrible person to abandon a dog, and especially to leave it chained up in a basement without food for who knows how long. Luckily, when this home owner went to check out his newly acquired property he could hear shuffling from the basement. When he shined his flashlight down the stairs, this is what he saw: a poor Pit bull chained to the bottom. He immediately called the Stray Rescue of St. Louis to come get the dog.
