Not to put too fine of a point on it, but marriage and parenting is literally the longest battle of your life. Sure, it’s rewarding and fulfilling and predominantly amazing, but it’s also a clashing of lifestyles, temperaments and a shit-ton of angry outbursts and the occasional crap-in-the-pants. The trials and tribulations of managing a household with a partner/kids and the satisfaction of seeing others solve problems or fuck up entirely is the reason why mommy-bloggers exist and are so popular.
Now, if you’re not a parent, then you probably haven’t come across Baby Sideburns, a blog written by Karen Alpert. She’s got some interesting stories, funny anecdotes and a few NYTimes bestsellers to her name.
