Making the Big Leagues is always a special moment whether you’re a child prodigy born to play the game or a journeyman making your final breakthrough. It was even more special for Logan Allen–a pitcher in the San Diego Padres organization.
Originally an 8th round pick in the 2015 MLB Draft, he climbed his way up the prospects rankings and made his MLB debut last night. But it’s his backstory and a chance encounter with a larger than life celebrity that makes this story even better.
