Truthfully, I do a lot of posts each year, and we’ve definitely covered all sorts of funny/interesting Instagram accounts that kind of go in one ear and out the other, so to speak. Some of them just don’t really have that much staying power.
But when I covered Very Ugly Plates back in 2019, I instantly followed their Instagram, and even ended up buying some mugs off of their website (which wasn’t the easiest thing, they’re all the way over in Berlin, Germany, shipping took a hot minute). They also have some of the plates for sale, if you’re interested.
I find these captions painted on these plates to be hysterical, and a lot more of those plates have popped up since then and I’m elated to share these profane pieces of art with all of y’all:
