This post was timely as this morning was the first true “summer fog” in San Francisco (in my neighborhood anyways). I always thought of fog as an unusual if not somewhat endearing weather phenomena, that is until I moved to SF. Now my warm summers have been replaced by whipping wind and magically drenching fog. But I do still get a kick seeing tourist step into this fog wearing shorts and t-shirts in the summer.

Great shots. Fog is other-worldly. It makes familiar things unfamiliar. In Colorado we get ice fogs in the winter which frosts every fine twig and grass blade snow white. When the fog lifts and for a few minutes when the sun is shining it is incredible.
