Pretty sure the first one isn’t actually black and white. I felt iffy ’cause parts of it look greenish and copying and putting it in grayscale actually changes the image significantly, still nicely taken, but it’s not black and white.
its called toning.it can be done in traditional bw using toned papers and/or chemicals.this image i think was manipulated in photoshop using various techniques involving channels,masking selective color and layers.i work at a photo/digital lab in nyc part time
