If you’re ever involved in a Swedish police chase, pull over (8 HQ Photos)

Joe Earl and three of his buddies were driving along a stretch of highway outside Stockholm when and Audi blew by them followed by two police cars. The chase began an hour earlier, the two thieves were intoxicated and putting lives in danger.

The police made a sharp U Turn in front of the speeding vehicle and Joe Earl captured the moment on his camera, these photos would go on to win Fotosidan's Best Pictures Contest.

I don't feel like pu##y for having a volvo station wagon now. Bad Ass!

    • Smitty

I'm calling BS on this. First of all these photos are over 2 1/2 years old. Second, they might have won Fotosidan's Best Pictures Contest, but not by Joe Earl, not in Sweden.

The swedish police drive volvo station wagons, and make it look good.
      Badass indeed!

    • Uhhmm

      rear wheel drive ftw

      • evilbox

I believe that wagon is actually all wheel drive. V70 Cross Country Wagon or something….

    • ttyl hef

why didn't the volvo's air bags go off?

      • Buford_Justice

no visible damage really, I think the road helped do a lot of the tipping so the Volvo didnt get bruised up to much.

  • Vladimir Putin

    • Kyle

Only if you rigged the election that way

  • Yessirr

Fuck a pit maneuver. I got this. #5

    • Lowrent75

"Tap or I snap! TAP OR I SNAP!!!"

  • dagleja3

Don't mess with police in Stockholm!!

    • who cares

Well, your dealing with vikings, so this is kinda all you can do…

  • LucretiusCarus

Damn–they couldn't have stopped them somewhere with tack strips instead of crashing the car?

Guess they got what they deserved no matter what.

    • BomberMan

Did you see the damage done to the Volvo? Yeah, me neither! Lol

    • Head Chef

Typical fucking neg repping Chivers 😦 This guy raises a valid question but gets repped down. Hotcop posts "Meow" and gets +'s. My faith in humaity takes another dip 😦

      • LucretiusCarus

Hey, man, shit happens. People like cats and don't like questions. So it goes.

        Fuck cats, btw.

      • Asshole

What does it matter that he got thumbed down? Ha! I just raised a valid question, so by your logic, I shouldn't get thumbed down, even though my question is completely counter towards your point.

I didn't agree with what the original poster said, so I gave him a thumbs down. There are plenty police chases on shows like "World's craziest Police chases" (or whatever) where cars go around the tack strips… Sometimes shit doesn't go your way, but you have to get the job done. The pictures above provide an example of such a scenario. Even if they didn't "attempt" to use the strips, it was clearly stated that the guys were driving like dicks and putting lives in danger… I'd rather have some criminal's car wrecked by a cop than a SUV, probably with a now dead family in it, wrecked by the criminal's car, with still living criminals because life is unfair.

  • Florgenborgen

    Hyurgen byurgen fyurgen! Prettii nastii!

    • sucka

      Bork Bork Bork!!

  • winfields

#6 would be a law suit for some reason here in the states, glad to see that they were able to take them out.

    • Guest

Does everything get a lawsuit in the states? i feel sorry for you folks ^^ accidentally bump into somebody and get sued for it lmao

      • Ride

I don't think i would call this an accidental bump though…

        • bsitz

No way, I've seen cops run over people running from them and no charges are brought up.

          • A BiPolar Guy

A lawsuit against the officers wouldn't get anywhere as long as the police were acting by dept standards. I'm sure they were hoping for a less drastic outcome, but were willing to risk the criminals' lives and their own as well to protect the innocent. Brave men or women.
It seems reasonable and justified as a procedure too. If department policy and procedures were to be way out of line for something or other ( unlike this) , you might get some traction suing the dept in such a case.

      • cerb

I think the main point here is that they probably didn't attempt that maneuver completely on purpose. If they did I'm pretty sure they'd hear it from the higher ups

    • JHL1

If there were a lawsuit, I doubt it would be sucessful.

  • @BuckeyeEmpire

    #8 1,2,3! Pinned

  • andysniper

    ho lee shit.

  • Shane

Cmon those guys are descended from Vikings, Id expect no less. Also, this would be so much more badass if it was a gif

  • noegod

Nice work gentlemen, keeping the roads safe, taking out the trash!

  • ImpressMe

Sadly if the cops here in the US did that there would be some lawyer screaming about how his scumbag clients rights were violated…the cops would get fired and sued….and the jerk that stole the car would get a big fat payday and an apology.

    • edslerson

Yea Honestly fuck america right up its corrupt dirty money hungry asshole. I hate this fucking country

      • asd

ya, last week here in australia, a cop chased a car, but hit another innocent car and killed the lady inside it, he got fired, i think jail aswell.

        • bud

thats just a shitty situation that needs repirmandation. unfortunately the cop was the most likely at fault. but who am i to say, she could have been driving like a woman

      • Sorbic

Your welcome to leave. Judging by your comment it will be a better place for it.

      • bobby

ED: Take a hike!!!Nobody is stopping you from moving. Preferably to some countries like Saudi Ararbia or Syria, where civil rights are all but unheard of…

    • Lisa

    • 400zombienation

it's to bad you are so cynical of the united states legal system. ED: if you don't like it here your more than welcome to leave, i'll even pack your bags for you.

  • Leafzru

In Sweden, Cop drives a station-wagon, and it Owns!

    • AWK

      Volvo FTW!

    • Alex

I used to drive that exact model, the Volvo V70 Interceptor. Sure, it looks like a serious Soccer-Mom car, but once (just for kicks) I wanted to try and take it to it's top limit. I drove out to the local speedway, signed a few release forms, got on the track and put the pedal down to she what she could do.

I never found the top limit. I lost my nerve at 270 km/h.

      Fuck. Yes.

  • whyzkid

#3 these dudes obviously learned nothing from their brethren on "getaway in stockholm"

  • Smitty

Kind of looks like the cruiser is raping that Audi….

This is how criminals threatening others lives should be dealt with. Another example: (I think Chive had this beauty up a couple weeks ago)

    • meantux

      enjoyed that thanks Tfred!

  • jack of all trades

Bad ass! No fucks were given by the police.

  • sensfan

ah, i love spring. Love is in the air, animals and plant life thriving in a endless circle of lust and fornication. Just look at those 2 cars involved, the SUV showing dominance and mounting the sedan. Its like an mechanic fuck fest. That or its rape..

  • testudo321
