Security guards are at their most alert when they’re napping on the job (31 Photos)

Or so I’m told…

  • Attaxia

    #26 may be dead ?

  • babyfart magizax

Nothing like a gallery of dead people!

  • dashete

This shit is funny but hardly unusual. Any person could take 20 pictures like this in their day.

    • kidn

      what's your point skipper?

    • Paul Blart

I accept your challenge and can not wait to see what you come up with!

  • Trav1121

I wonder how many of these fine, upstanding workers are still employed after these pics got out…? Especially #27 Holy shit dude! At least sleep with your gun belt on! smh

  • Gerard the guard

That's why I sleep propped up in the corner of a bathroom stall.

  • cookie

    Donut overdose!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • RealZoo

#5………and then everyone felt safe and sound.

  • 11B68W

    We're guards!
    Yeah, we're grrrrrrrdddsss!

  • Rex Hondo

They're not napping. They're merely trying to lure the criminals into a false sense of security!

    • Underbaker

I agree, it is an advanced low energy capture technique. The guy in #9 is about to be nabbed.

  • etcrr

#17 doesn't look like he is sleeping, He looks like he had a Heart attack and died

    • yup

fuck you…and some wish you would

      • etcrr

You know little boy, the interesting thing is Karma's a Bitch, You wish Ill of people it comes back to you, so you might wanna re-think your words

        • yup

who said I wish ill of people…I said some wish you would….you're implying I want you to get ill or have a heart attack and die…when really I wished you would just go to sleep…and again fuck off!

        • Bill57

i agree what comes around goes around and what goes around comes around and round and round things that come and go go cause thats what they do

          • Underbaker

So are we coming or going? You lost me on the 3rd right turn.

    • ColaChiver

Let's be honest here…. He's not protecting shit when he is awake either….. he is 143 years old.

    • usmc_chiver

I'm also rather inclined to think that he's not a guard, he's a Chaplain. What gave it away? the giant cross on his arm!

  • Lazyguard

Wow. Kinda surprised I'm not on here. Being a security guard sucks balls.

    • katie

      I as well. Lmfao

    • Bored

Me too. I've been to multiple places where they encouraged a nap since they sometimes trap you there for 16-24 hour shifts.

    • Seano

I work Friday 10PM-10AM Saturday and then Saturday 10PM-10AM Sunday at an unoccupied chemical storage facility that no one will ever break into. I am the only one at the plant all there is for any entertainment is a DVD player. EXPLAIN TO ME HOW I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO FALL ASLEEP.

  • Sceptic

    #31 that's what I call a comfortable sleeping place

    • MISTERButterworth!

This one looks too planned to just be a nap. My guess is he was on a rest break after a long shift.

      • A BiPolar Guy

looks like an indoor wall to the right, and windows ahead, so I'm thinking he's parked at HQ.

    • Hurricane Harri

Tac Team Officer on assignment. Likely a stand off of some sort and he is taking advantage of a lull in the action.

    • Stu

That's a City of Miami (FL) Police Officer in the trunk of his patrol car

    • YoMomma

Geez people, is a swat member resting either before a call out or before responding to a SWAT call.

  • walter the desk

#7 probably got beat up by a hobo who also stole his shoes.

  • carmen

last one is miami beach police, not surprising at all.

    • Timmy p

Looks like it's City of Miami to me

    • Mr. 305

      Nope, it's City of Miami

  • Gallus

I used to give guys Article 15's to the max for sleeping on guard duty. There was no excuse. This gallery leaves me speachless!!!

    • Stupid pig

    • Frank

Haha. Working security was the most lax thing I've ever been paid to do.
It boggles my mind that there are people like you who actually take it seriously.

      • Late

Because of the fact he said "article 15" i think its safe to assume he's military.

Watching for punk shoplifters? Easy and lax as you say.

Watching for someone trying to shove a rocket down your throat? Not so lax.

    • HonestyRules

I think you mean "speechless." I am guessing (due to the lack of education) that what you mean is that you used to report people for sleeping on post.

  • fobeets

    #24 – Free gun!

    • Colin

people like this are just asking for trouble, this lady should be stripped of any authority for just having her gun sticking out unprotected

    • Sensationalone

Nope City of Miami!!!! I'm going home next week!!! Yea!

    • Jerri

LOL yup you got that right free gun. I know one guard that did this every night he deserved losing his job. My late husband was a guard he would not ever think of sleeping on the job, the crappy places they had him working kept him busy all night long, he worked for Pinkertons, that place killed him, standing out in the freezing rain the dead of winter and no guard shack it sucked.

  • joeybastardo

    #19 hipster album cover?

  • jake

As a security officer currently at my post chiving, I feel an immense sense of pride in my profession right now

    • HECTOR

      Amen! Doing the same.

      • Sensationalone

Hector the Protector!!!! Kiss for keeping us safe!

    • Underbaker

I feel for you guys, at least you get to play on the internets, a lot of these guards have to sit at their post with no computer, no tv, and would get in trouble if they even tried doing a crossword puzzle. Just don't think I could do it.

    • Slim Jim

it's an honest living. nothing wrong with that.

  • Turbodude

It must be exhausting to be a hired bully…..

    • TurbodudeSucks

The honest problem here is cheap bastards that don't really want security guards, they just want to be able to say they have security guards. They low bid the services and what you end up with is some guy making minimum wages wearing a uniform (and sleeping) giving the rest of the industry a bad name.

  • TheHypnotizer

They should have all been tea-bagged before the picture was taken.

  • imbizzle

#17 ummm someone might wanna give him a poke around his pulse.

  • Amy

    #18 – Jay-Z is now a security guard??

    • dantheman7

That's Jay-z in 20 years….after beyonce divorces him and takes all his money.

  • Bus

They are still better at their jobs an pro sports officials.

  • jimbob

Lazy pricks…. all deserve to be sacked
