Actually, I'm rather shocked that this Aussie was having so many difficulties. Agility is second nature to them, and I run my Aussies in agility. Although, I will say that the owner of Jinx set Jinx up for failure. The jumps need to be lower; Jinx should be on the lower "baby" dog walk. Jinx's trainer is not properly telling her what to do. It is most certainly NOT the dog's fault. Poor Jinxy.

They're south african mate.. There is a difference

      • dkellyb

It's the dog… The dog is an Australian Shepherd, or "Aussie"…

    • Guest-light

      Rhymes with canker.
Not everyone has given up on having fun.

      • andfukyamoms

clearly the dog and owner were out there just having a good time. Shut up illwproductions, you suck.

    Any Aussie chivers out there?

    • A C

      shrimp on the barbie, mate?

      • Matt!!!1!1!

Australian Chivers or Chivers with australian shepherds?

  • SpecialToast

That's the most appropriately named dog I've ever seen.

Good job Lassie!!! TIMMY'S DEAD!!! 😉

  • I don't know

Pop up ads with no way to x out of them? Thank you chive.

    • andfukyamoms

Please no one help this person.

  • Hudson

First off, it's agility trial, not "dogshow". Not that I expect it to be correct, it is the chive after all.

That poor dog needs a new trainer! There's not even any clear direction for the dog to follow. Lower the jumps and fall back a class!

How bout just having a fun afternoon with your household dog. Maybe they had no desire to win and were just trying to enjoy themselves……

  • MylesofStyles

My dog would have looked at me, humped the shit out of all the other dogs, and gone to sleep in the corner.

  • Livin' Legend

I'd rather have a happy dog with a good attitude than one of those creepy robotic show dogs.

    • Trixi

Which is totally fair. With that said, Border Collies really, really like doing stuff like this. If they aren't occupied they go a little stir crazy. I have a dog which is part Border Collie and she's nuts, she tries to herd me when I run. She does it to people when they walk.

  • Katie

I don't think this dog likes his owner very much

    • Anon

uhh all the dog did was try to get to the owner 😛 I'd say it loves it too much

    • andfukyamoms

How did you take that away from the video. It looks like it is so preoccupied with loving its owner that its having a hard time with the obstacles. It jumped off the platform into its owners arms for dogsakes!

    • Katie

Because she is making him do these obstacles that he obviously doesn't want to do. I also hear a lot of growling and non-friendly barking.

  • Anon

That video cracked me up. Loved the cynical commentary from the camera man

  • KillerCody

He's just there for the treats.

  • SARmedic

Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark!

Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark!

    Good Jinxy!
