Daily Afternoon Randomness in HQ (40 Photos)

Earlier today, we posted a story about the Moonachie Fire Department, who had their fire house destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. I asked the Chivers to donate $30,000 to aid both the MFD and the entire Moonachie community, one of the towns hardest hit by the superstorm.

In true Chive fashion, you blew by the financial goal in under 2 hours, the total now stands at $36,000 $40,000 and counting. I’ve spoken with various members of the volunteer fire dept. today and they are blown away by the support. I think they understood what was about to happen before the launch but it’s just now sinking in… As always, Chivers, you continue lead and inspire others in ways the internet has never before seen. Well, well done.
