The Houston floods have been some of the most brutally devastating the United States has ever seen, leaving countless people displaced and numerous homes underwater.
Indeed, it’s only the response of thousands of volunteers and public servants that have given people any sort of hope amid the unrelenting chaos. Yet even amongst such extreme desolation, it’s important to find humor and light.
Step forward Enock Anassi, a Houston native, and his daughter Kerubo. Stranded in New York City (where Kerubo was to start attending university at The New School) due to Tropical Storm Harvey, Enock decided that instead of staying in his hotel room or seeing the sights, he would join his daughter for her first day of class and, in doing so, embarrass the hell out of her.
